India Battery Swapping Association (IBSA) represents a diverse group of EV OEMs, EV Swapping Companies, Retrofitters, Academicians and EV Enthusiasts amongst other key players from the sustainable mobility ecosystem in India. Currently, the members of the association represent more than 95% of the battery swapping industry.
IBSA is a member of the prestigious government sub-committee (ETD 51) set up by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) to formulate standards documents related to EVs. We have also partnered with India’s premier government think tank, NITI Aayog, led “Shoonya – Zero Pollution Mobility” campaign to support and streamline EV transition for the ride hailing and delivery sectors.
We have also showcased battery swapping technology through LIVE demonstrations in 2Ws and 3Ws to international delegates in G20 event in 2023 and Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024.
Currently, IBSA is also working with the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) to develop the Roadmap for Accelerating EV Adoption in India using Battery Swapping Technology aligned with Government of India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
